The Seven Last Words of Jesus

During the final hours of His earthly time on the Cross, Jesus spoke seven statements that are powerful and profound.

Today and through this Holy Week,

Let us stay with Him and spend some time in reading the scripture and listening to His Last Words.

Pray that the Words transform our hardest heart and therefore our life according to His Will.

Lord, have mercy on us and on the whole world..

First Word : Forgiveness             

 "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)  

Second Word : Salvationship   

 "Today you will be with me in paradise.' (Luke 23:43)      

Third Word : Relationship          

 "Woman, behold, thy son! Behold, thy mother!' (John 19:26)         

Fourth Word: Abandonment      

"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46/Mark 15:34)       

Fifth Word : Distress                      

"I thirst." (John 19:28)

Sixth Word : Triumph                

 "It is finished." (John 19:30)

Seventh Word : Reunion         

 "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit." (Luke 23:46)
